SPEVC Information
Calendar
The Academic Year of the school is from June 15th to April 30th. The students are given a mid-term vacation during festivals like Ganesha Chaturthi and Diwali. SPEVC conducts monthly, quarterly and half-yearly exams in addition to a final exam in April.
The school timings are from 10 am to 4:30 pm for students and teachers, 10 am to 5 pm for office staff. The lunch time is from 12 noon to 1 pm for students, 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm for teachers and 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm for office staff.
Staff Details
The Government of Maharashtra has employed well-trained/RCI-approved special educators, care takers, clerical staff, psychologist, audiologist cum speech therapist and physiotherapist.
- In addition to the Government staff, Shree Trust, the parent body of the SPEVC, has employed well-trained teachers for special students, a yoga teacher, a computer instructor, a cook for mid-day meals, care takers, etc.
- There are also other persons working purely on honorary basis in administration, finance as well as teaching abacus and art & craft.
The SPEVC family composition
As of January 2023, SPEVC has 264 students – 113 minors with Intellectual Disability, 68 students with Hearing Disability and 83 Adult students with Intellectual Disability, aged between 18 and 45 years, who and are getting trained in various skills in our Vocational Section.
Volunteering at SPEVC
We welcome volunteers to give their valuable time and share their knowledge through Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, etc. They can communicate through various means of digitalization with our teachers as we have equipped them with laptops and Internet facility.
