SPEVC Admissions
PROCEDURE
Parents seeking admission for their wards in SPEVC must submit the mandatory Disability Certificate from the Civil Surgeon of a Civil Hospital. Before confirming the admission of a child, the School Psychologist checks the Disability Certificate issued by the concerned Government authorities.
- The Psychologist assesses the behaviour of the child and discusses the suggested behaviour modification with the parents and concerned teachers. Thereafter, the behaviour modification sessions are conducted along with counselling of the parents/guardians as required.
- Similarly, the Speech Therapist conducts Audiometry tests to assesses the hearing disability of the child and plans out language and speech therapy sessions.
- The Physiotherapist assesses cerebral palsy and other related problems of children and she plans out Physiotherapy sessions.
FEE STRUCTURE:
SPEVC does not charge any fees. The School Management provides free education, uniforms, midday meals, and transportation to and from the nearest point to the student’s home.

The students are provided with two sets of uniforms, a school bag, and footwear once every two years through valuable donors.
SCHOOL TIMING:

NOTES FOR PARENTS:
- Medicines for epilepsy were distributed by Rotary Club of Dahisar during Lockdown to the parents of the students on the basis of the doctor’s prescription. This was discontinued after 1 year.
- Hearing-aids of best quality are procured with the help of donors and given to students once in two years.
- Parents of students with severe disabilities are requested to accompany their wards to the Centre. Therapy sessions are conducted from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, where students are taught as per their IQ levels. The students are given their midday meals before they return home.
- Mothers of such students are trained through the ‘Mother and Child Project’ in collaboration with ‘Samvit Sudha’, a unit of Parijnan Foundation. They receive training in manufacturing handicrafts/artefacts, and the renumeration for their labour is credited directly into their bank accounts.
