Samvit Sudha – Holding Hands Project
This is a ‘Mother and Child’ Project wherein the mothers accompanying students with severe intellectual disabilities are given training in preparing handicrafts/artefacts. These products are then sold through the outlets of ‘Samvit Sudha’, our project striving for women empowerment. The mothers receive remuneration for their work, which is directly credited to their Bank Accounts.
The parents are amazed to discover their hidden talent, revealed through the training imparted by members of Samvit Sudha. Hats off to the patience and dedication of the Samvit Sudha team members, who regularly travel long distances from Mumbai, Vasai, Virar, Pune and many other places, to train these parents to work to perfection within stipulated timelines. The superbly created products are much appreciated and are in great demand.
